The Ways of Love Are Strange is a 1927 German silent romantic drama film directed by Fritz Kaufmann and starring Maly Delschaft, Walter Slezak and Fritz Alberti. The film is based on a novel by Maurice Dekobra. It was shot at the Staaken Studios in Berlin.

The Ways of Water was made with the Earth Science Curriculum Project and the Environmental Studies Project of the American Geological Institute. A study of the water cycle on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State, the narratorless, poetic film is enriched by Blank’s characteristically graceful and fluid camera movements. A boat crossing the Caribbean Sea. On board, Willem Dafoe opens a briefcase that casts a golden glow on Christopher Walken's face. In a fit of ambition, Walken snatches up a swordfish and plunges it into Dafoe's abdomen, causing him to writhe in pain. In his death throes, Dafoe grabs another swordfish and lops off Walken's head. As he descends into the deep sea, Walken's head will discover that ambition always knocks twice.

Through intimate vignettes of vulnerability, tension, and fleeting joy, the film delves into the intricacies of navigating love when neither partner fully knows themselves. Intertwined with friendships and random occurrences the film offers up the conversation that love is not just bound to sexuality, identity and it can at it's core, be found through the soul.
